Otissha "Tish" Burnett Otissha "Tish" Burnett was a beautiful person inside and out. She was always kind, loving, and gentle. She was schedule to start her senior year of high school on 8/7/06 unfortunately, she never made it. Tish was shot and killed on 8/6/06 at a neighborhood birthday block party, he was just 17 years old. We have lost yet another talented youth to a senseless act of violence. Tish was an inspiring clothing designer, wonderful artist, and a poetic soul. She was also a great lyricist, with her own c.d... She was one of the most beautiful people that you could ever ask God to bring into your life. Yet because of a senseless act of violence which is plaguing our black community, she is forever gone in the physical state. She was an innocent person at the right place at the wrong time. Tish was just out to enjoy the last party before school started back. She was so beautiful that night, dressed in all white. Just being a child and enjoying her youthful days with her friends cost her the ultimate price, HER LIFE. I would never wish the pain and despair that my family feels on anyone. These are feelings that I can never put into words or even begin to know how to express what we are feeling. This is the worst pain i have ever felt physically or emotionally.
